Health and precautions

In order to avoid harm to employees’ health, Johnson & Johnson has devised a variety of health programmes. Alongside this, Swiss legal requirements are built into these programmes. The health service is responsible for implementing these health programmes and its tasks are, among others:

•  To ensure that all medical requirements, both legal and required by Johnson & Johnson are met

•  To carry out risk analyses in order to ascertain which health programme suits each individual employee

•  To carry out sight and hearing tests

•  To make an annual analysis of trends in order to ascertain whether health-related incidents seem to have become more frequent or have increased at particular workplaces

•  Medical Case Management (the co-ordination of processing health-related incidents in relation to the workplace)

•  To co-ordinate and carry out projects to improve health

•  To educate on health risks (e.g. knowing the side-effects of substances)

•  To continually improve the healthcare system.

Specific healthcare

Staff are assigned to a health programme according to their workplace. In order to do this, their state of health is checked at the time of joining the company. Regular medical check-ups tell us whether the employee’s health has stayed the same, improved or worsened. These periodic checks enable us to react swiftly to any kind of change. The Cilag AG healthcare system was assessed as being excellent by Johnson & Johnson.

Health workshops

Information events with updated content are organised at regular intervals. Workshops on AIDS, the flu virus, stopping smoking, nutrition and daily exercise are examples of workshops we have held.

Cilag AG’s active sports clubs

Cilag AG supports its own sports club, which means that staff can join a football, tennis, ski, swimming, cycling or squash club, or a fitness group. These clubs are open to all staff and their families. In total, around 20% of Cilag AG staff are members of sports clubs. Along with this, Cilag AG provides a training centre close to the local infirmary. In turn Cilag staff can train with professional supervision at a fair price.

Ergonomic workplaces

The set-up of individual workplaces is discussed with the employee in order to accommodate his/her needs as well as ergonomic standards. Workplaces are continually checked and improved where necessary.
